to learn the healing arts from his Great Grandmother from the island
of Maui. He was taught at an early age that the principles of the
ancient ways provided a foundation for understanding the physical,
mental and spiritual self and how the true self can reach the
depths of one’s soul.
A graduate of the Morning Crane Healing Arts Center in the field
of Medical Qigong. Virgil has taught classes on the Big Island of
Hawai’i and in the San Francisco, Bay Area. Virgil integrates
the ancient practices of Hawaiian Lomilomi and Medical Qigong (Qi-Lomi).
This form of massage incorporates the oldest modality of Acupuncture
(without needles), joint mobilization and deep “to the bone”
kneading and gliding stokes like the rhythm of the ocean. It nourishes,
detoxifies, restructures and strengthens the body in a soothing
and dynamic way. Qi-Lomi embraces the spirit of aloha (loving kindness)
which affects the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual body.
With over 15 years of training and instructing, in the internal
and external arts. Ohana Traditions is proud to offer an in-depth
instructions and guidance to those seeking to develop and enhance
their spiritual awareness as part of a wellness lifestyle. Our aim
is to restore harmony and balance in people lives by integrating
the healing traditions of the East and West.
