Intuition is a perception of truth beyond logical explanation or reason.  While it is a function of our consciousness acting through the mind, through the subconscious and conscious levels of mental awareness, intuition comes from a deeper source than the mind.  It is a unique language of the soul to help us gain insight and understanding beyond our busy analytical minds.
