Traditionally, knowledge was passed on through family generations by either Kupuna (elders) or Kahuna (keepers of the secret). Practice within the Ohana (family) and within the healing sanctuary. Hawaiian Lomilomi is well known for the stress-relieving power and depths of its massage. Lomilomi is the clinical massage of Hawai’i.
 

The elders look at things in terms of energy flow, following the idea that an “idea or belief” can block energy flow as much as muscle tension can. Lomilomi helps to release the blockages, while at the same time giving the energy a new direction.
 

Lomilomi is not just a physical experience it also facilitates healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels as well. The elders view all aspects of the body as one and believe that the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual are all part of the "whole". When healing is affected on one level, all levels are affected.

Hoʻoponopono The resolution of interpersonal or group conflicts involves a systematic approach to the realignment of belief systems and sanctions through group leadership, talking circles, and ceremonies. The protocol for "making things right" includes pule (prayer) to start and end the healing circle, this "sets the tone" of each session.


Hoʻokuʻu is another powerful protocol used in releasing common negative emotions and limiting beliefs.

What is Baggage?​

Sometimes we hold onto negative emotions or limiting beliefs from certain events and continue to be triggered by similar situations. Each time we hold onto it, that creates "baggage". An emotional trigger we carry around with us.
